Acceleration of Accreditation Rating Conversion Process Using Conversion Supplementary Instrument (ISK)

The acceleration activities for the conversion process of accreditation rankings for higher education institutions and study programs using the Supplementary Conversion Instrument (ISK) were conducted by the Executive Board of BAN-PT on February 19-21, 2024. In this activity, assigned assessors worked in pairs, consisting of 11 panels to evaluate a total of 129 ISK applications, including 116 study programs and 13 higher education institutions. Furthermore, the acceleration of the ISK process aims to ensure that the ISK achievement target for 2024 is met and implemented successfully.

According to the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation (Permendikbudristek) No. 53 of 2023 regarding the assurance of higher education quality, it is conveyed that BAN-PT can still accept proposals for the conversion of accreditation rankings for higher education institutions and study programs until December 31, 2024, at the latest.

The basic principle of the accreditation ranking conversion requirements is the accredited status as regulated in BAN-PT Regulation No. 3 of 2019. The regulation stipulates that the accredited C ranking can be converted to Good, the accredited B ranking can be converted to Very Good, and the accredited A ranking can be converted to Excellent.
