The registration for The 3rd APQN Global Summit has been closed since 8 August 2018


The Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) Global Summit is one of the main annual events for discussing and advancing quality assurance in higher education throughout Asia and the Pacific. APQN has successfully organized two Global Summits in 2016 and 2017 consecutively. “Global Summit on Quality Higher Education: Sharing Values and Fostering Trust beyond Borders” was the first Global Summit organized in collaboration with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India held in Bengaluru, India (September 16–17, 2016). The second Global Summit (September 21–22, 2017) was jointly organized with the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) in Chinese Taiwan under the theme of “Global Summit on Regional Cooperation and Harmonization: ASEAN Countries and East Asia in Quality Assurance of Higher Education”.


The third APQN Global Summit will be held at The Anvaya Beach Resort, Bali, Indonesia (August 27–29, 2018) in collaboration with the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (NAAHE), Indonesia and the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network. The theme of the Summit is "Quality Assurance for Higher Education 4.0 - Issues and Challenges". The target audience for the 2018 APQN Global Summit is leaders in higher education quality assurance, policy makers of quality assurance and those associated with quality assurance agencies in the ASEAN countries and Asia-Pacific region, and which will also include APQN Members and Observers, the APQN Board, Committees and Project Groups.

Objectives of The Third APQN Global Summit 2018

  1. To contribute to the establishment of national, regional and international alignment in quality assurance of higher education to dissolve boundaries for a quality region.

  2. To facilitate national, regional and international student and academic mobility and exchange.

  3. To strengthen quality assurance capacity building, share global information resources for next generation quality assurance in the age of technology and finally to promote quality culture.

  4. To endeavor in fostering mutual trust, confidence and understanding of higher education systems in the whole world, especially in the Asia-Pacific Region.

  5. To promote “Bengaluru Statement 2016 on Next-Generation Quality Assurance of Higher Education: A Shared Vision and Commitment for Fostering Partnership beyond Borders”.
